Philippines Missions Trip 2026: The Journey to Baguio

August 2–4, 2026 · Seattle → Taipei → Clark → Baguio

All 42 members of the Project Philippines team gathered at Seattle–Tacoma International Airport before beginning the journey to Baguio.

The Journey Begins

In the days leading up to departure, our church family and team members worked together to divide and pack the tracts and ministry materials that would travel with us to the Philippines. By Sunday night, the team was ready to begin the journey. Even before boarding our flight, team members had several witnessing opportunities at Seattle-Tacoma International Airport—one of many early answers to prayer.

Our first flight carried us from Seattle to Taipei and lasted approximately twelve and a half hours. After a four-hour layover in Taipei, we boarded another two-hour flight to Clark International Airport in the Philippines.

All 42 team members made it safely through Immigration and Customs without any difficulties. In fact, the longest part of the arrival process was simply waiting for all of our luggage!

From Clark, we began the three-hour drive north to Baguio. Rain accompanied us along the winding mountain roads, but we arrived safely and checked into our hotel. After a short opportunity to rest, the team gathered for dinner at Lighthouse Baptist Church with Missionary Froi Medina, his family, and several members of the church. Their warm welcome was an encouraging conclusion to a very long day of travel.

After returning to the hotel, most of the team headed to their rooms for some much-needed rest. Pastor Kirchner met with the team leaders to provide final instructions, review the latest schedule, and prepare everyone for the first day of local outreach.

• Wisdom, unity, and flexibility for the team leaders and ministry teams.

• Open doors and receptive hearts as tract distribution and outreach begin.

• Strength and encouragement for Missionary Froi Medina, his family, and the churches serving alongside the team.

• That every conversation, meeting, and service will clearly point people to Christ.

What Comes Next

Tomorrow the team will begin its first full day of ministry. Plans include a courtesy visit with Baguio city leadership, tract distribution, outreach in Baguio and another ministry area, and an evening service.
