Philippines Missions Trip 2026 (Day 6): A Special Sunday Evening at MBBE

After a full morning of ministry in churches throughout the area, the teams reunited Sunday evening at Metropolitan Bible Baptist Ekklesia for a special time of worship and fellowship with Dr. Benny Abante, his family, and the MBBE church family.

A Warm Welcome at MBBE

The team was warmly welcomed by the Abante family and the family of Metropolitan Bible Baptist Ekklesia.

Throughout the evening, we enjoyed special music presented by several MBBE churches. It was a blessing to hear these churches lift their voices together and to experience the warmth and hospitality that has been extended to our team throughout our time in the Philippines.

Sunday Evening Service

Pastor Smith was privileged to preach during the evening service, bringing the teams together once again around the Word of God after serving in different churches throughout the morning.

It was a special way to conclude a full Lord’s Day—worshipping together, hearing the preaching of God’s Word, and sharing the service with Filipino pastors, church members, and friends.

Food, Fellowship, and Friendship

Following the service, MBBE graciously provided a time of food and fellowship for the team.

Around the tables, old friendships were renewed and new friendships were made as our team members spent time with the Abante family and the MBBE church family.

We are deeply grateful for their gracious hospitality and for the fellowship we have enjoyed with brothers and sisters in Christ here in the Philippines.

Prayer Focus

Pray that the preaching and ministry from this Lord’s Day will continue to bear fruit.
Pray for Dr. Benny Abante, his family, and the churches of MBBE as they continue faithfully serving the Lord.
Pray for the many pastors and church families who have welcomed and ministered alongside our teams.
Pray for renewed strength and good health as the team begins the final days of Project Philippines.

What a blessing to end Sunday together in the house of God.

What Comes Next

Monday morning at 10:00 AM (7:00 PM PDT Sunday), the teams are scheduled for a courtesy visit with the Speaker of the House of Representatives of the Philippines.

We are grateful for this unique opportunity and ask you to pray that the Lord will use this meeting to strengthen relationships and continue opening doors for the Gospel.

Following the courtesy visit, the teams will continue outreach throughout the area, sharing gospel literature and looking for opportunities to speak with people about Christ.
