Philippines Missions Trip 2026 Day 7: Strengthening Ministry Partnerships

Day 7 brought another change of plans as weather conditions affected the team’s scheduled visit with the House of Representatives. With a “work from home” order in place, the courtesy visit was postponed, and the teams adjusted their schedule for the day.
A Change of Plans
Although the morning did not unfold as originally planned, the change opened the door for another valuable ministry opportunity.
The teams were able to visit Pastor Reuben Abante and tour the new building facilities of Lighthouse Bible Baptist Church. It was encouraging to see the continued growth of the ministry and learn more about the work taking place there.
Strengthening Ministry Partnerships
During the visit, Pastor Kirchner was also able to meet with coordinators from Pastor Abante’s staff who are assisting with our container shipment process.
These efforts are an important part of helping us expedite the shipment of Scriptures and ministry materials into the Philippines. Developing an efficient and dependable process for getting Scriptures into the country is a key piece of the ministry partnerships being strengthened through Project Philippines.
Please continue to pray for wisdom, favor, and clear direction as these details are worked through and future opportunities are considered.
Lunch and a Little Time to Explore
Following the tour, the team was treated to lunch at Rose & Grace Restaurant and enjoyed another opportunity for food and fellowship together.
The afternoon brought a change of pace as the team visited a local shopping center for a few hours. Team members had time to explore, purchase souvenirs, and enjoy some fun together after several very full days of ministry.
Rest Before the Journey
Afterward, the teams returned to the hotel for the evening to rest, organize their belongings, and prepare for the travel day ahead.
While Day 7 looked different than originally planned, we are thankful for the opportunities the Lord provided—especially the chance to strengthen relationships and continue important conversations surrounding the distribution of Scriptures throughout the Philippines.
Prayer Focus
Pray for the ongoing efforts to establish an efficient process for shipping Scriptures and ministry materials into the Philippines.
Pray for Pastor Reuben Abante, Lighthouse Bible Baptist Church, and the ministries serving alongside them.
Pray for wisdom and favor as future ministry partnerships continue to develop.
Pray for strength, health, and safe travel as the team prepares for the journey home.
Pray that the relationships and opportunities developed during Project Philippines will continue producing fruit long after the team returns home.

Tomorrow begins the team’s travel home. Please pray for smooth transportation, safe flights, successful connections, and strength for everyone through the long journey back to the United States.
