Philippines Missions Trip 2026 (Day 6): A Sunday Morning of Ministry

Day 6 began with the teams spread throughout Metro Manila and surrounding areas, serving alongside several local churches for Sunday morning ministry.


Serving Together on the Lord's Day

After traveling to their assigned churches on Saturday, each team began Sunday morning alongside its host pastor and church family.

Across the different locations, team members were given many opportunities to participate in the services. Some shared personal testimonies of the Lord’s work in their lives, while others taught children’s classes and Sunday School lessons. Team leaders had the privilege of preaching, and each group was able to serve according to the needs and opportunities of its host church.

Though the teams were in different places, they shared the same purpose—to encourage local believers, support faithful pastors, and point people to Christ.



Serving Alongside Local Churches

One of the greatest blessings of this trip has been the opportunity to serve alongside Filipino pastors and church members who faithfully labor in their communities week after week.

Sunday morning gave our team members a closer look at these local ministries as they worshipped, taught, preached, encouraged, and fellowshipped together.

We are thankful for each pastor and church family who welcomed our teams so graciously and gave them opportunities to be involved in the ministry.


Fellowship Around the Table

Following the morning services, teams enjoyed lunch with their host churches before beginning the next part of the day’s travel.

These meals have provided another special opportunity for fellowship—hearing testimonies, learning more about the ministries here, and building friendships with brothers and sisters in Christ.



Prayer Focus

  • Pray for lasting fruit from the preaching, teaching, testimonies, and conversations from this morning’s services.

  • Pray for the pastors and churches faithfully reaching their communities throughout the Philippines.

  • Pray that our team members will continue to be an encouragement and help wherever they are given an opportunity to serve.

  • Pray for strength and health as the team continues through another full day of ministry.

  • Pray for safe travel as the teams make their way back together this afternoon.


What Comes Next

Following lunch with their host churches, the teams will travel to Metropolitan Bible Baptist Ekklesia to reunite for the evening service with Dr. Benny Abante and his family.

We are grateful for a Sunday filled with opportunities to preach, teach, testify, fellowship, and serve alongside faithful local churches.
