Missionary Update 04/05/2021
March Update Dear Faith Baptist Church, Greetings from Pacific West Baptist College! The PWBC family is always thankful for your prayers and continued financial support. Through your ministry, we are constantly reminded that we are not alone in the ministry. Last week was the college’s spring break and the students had the privilege to rest and spend time with their family. Today, they were back from spring break and have started the second half of the semester. The COVID cases here in BC are growing rapidly, but God is gracious and has preserved the college from this virus. Teachers and students are still able to enter the building within the implemented protocols. Our first prayer request is that the student will do well for the remainder of this semester. Also, please pray for more students to come for training here in our Bible College. We are also doing our best to expand our influence in many churches here in Canada, especially through online venues. Thank you once again for your prayers and financial support. Missionary Update 03/01/2021
January and February Update Dear Faith Baptist Church, Greetings from Pacific West Baptist College and a Blessed New Year to everyone! For more than a year now, COVID-19 shocked the entire world. Since then, we have experienced challenges rippled from general to specific circumstances we dealt with every day. It was always a challenge to plan for the Bible College, but it is challenging more as we go through this pandemic. However, we know that God is still in control. We know His grace and mercy are new every morning. We also know that churches and individuals are praying and supporting this ministry. Our hearts always overflow with thanksgiving for God and our supporters. In the last week of January, we started our Spring Semester. We thank the Lord for giving us both full-time and part-time students and the faithfulness of the teachers in teaching these men and women for the Lord’s work. We are still offering five courses online, and we are planning to add at least four more classes for the next semester. We ask for your prayers for God’s leading and college leadership. Please pray for more students for the coming school year and finish this semester strong for God’s glory. Thank you once again for your prayers and financial support as we continue to teach and train men and women for God’s name and His glory. Missionary Update 12/31/2020
November and December Update Dear Faith Baptist Church, Greetings from Pacific West Baptist College and a Blessed New Year to everyone! We thank the Lord for guiding the College to finish the Fall Semester despite COVID restrictions. God was always faithful in putting a hedge of protection around the College and His daily provision. And we thank the Lord that we have ministry partners that always pray and support us in these trying times. On the second week of November, the province declared another locked down due to the rapid increase of cases, especially in the lower mainland. As a result, we decided to finish our classes through zoom meetings. On the second week of December, we finished our final exam. We have mentioned last September that we will open an online course program in response to the situation around us. By God's grace, we have launched five courses this school year, and we are looking forward to adding 4-5 courses every school year. Currently, nine students are taking online courses. Praise God! Also, we thank God because we have ministry partners like you. Teachers and students are now in the winter break. Teachers are working hard preparing their lessons for the coming Spring semester. We ask you to please pray for wisdom for the College's leadership and God's leading for this forthcoming 2021. I know that you are experiencing a difficult situation also. Missionary Update 03/20/2020
February Update Dear Faith Baptist Church, Greetings to you from Pacific West Baptist College! We are halfway through the spring semester, and all the students are doing well in their studies. Thank you for praying for us and your continued support for the Bible College. We thank the Lord always because of your generosity and help for the college. With the developing news and growth of public concern regarding the spread of COVID-19 all over the world, we are carefully monitoring and seeking council around the situation. We are taking a proactive approach to ensure our facilities are thoroughly clean to protect the health of the teachers and students. Next week, we are planning to resume our classes. As of now, we have no mandate from the government to shut down all schools in British Columbia, and our number is not that big enough to shut down the school, so that we will continue our classes. However, we will do preventive measures to ensure the health of everyone. Worst case scenario, we’ve prepared an online meeting so that classes can continue and only meet virtually. Let us all pray together for the safety of everyone as we are going through in this trying situation. We believe that we will overcome this pandemic because God is still on the throne!
