MUSIC MINISTRY

The music ministry of Faith Baptist Church is a very large and necessary aspect of the ministry. Our goal is to glorify God and reach lost souls for the Lord Jesus Christ through our music, and we endeavor to encourage and prepare the hearts of our Pastor and the congregation for the preaching of God’s Word. This is accomplished through one or all three objectives - to educate,  to equip, and to bring experience to Christians for God’s work.

Education - this ranges from our Patch the Pirate, Children’s Choir, Teen Choir, Adult Choir, Orchestra, Ensembles, and more. Faith Baptist Church understands the importance of training our people in music theory, as well as the Biblical philosophy of music.

Equip - we strive to give each member the opportunity for a practical application of what they have learned and how to use it in the house of God.

Experience - we want to allow a firsthand experience of what we have taught. There are a wide range of ministry opportunities such as singing in various groups, playing an instrument (piano, keyboards, or orchestra), being a part in cantatas, or being a music leader in a Sunday School class.

The music ministry’s ultimate goal is best stated in II Timothy 2:2 “And the things that thou has heard of me among many witnesses, the same commit thou to faithful men, who shall be able to teach others also.”
